Utility Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities

The Utility Analyst will primarily perform infrastructure inspections for clients and will work closely with an integrated team to perform a wide range of assignments for clients in the energy sector, including:

  • Support senior level electric utility personnel in inspecting distribution and transmission assets to confirm compliance with regulatory and utility standards.

  • Safely operate a motor vehicle for travel to assigned work areas.

  • Conduct electric utility distribution and transmission field inspections.

  • Conduct electric utility distribution and transmission aerial photograph desktop inspections.

  • Identification of electric transmission, substation, and distribution facility components.

  • Document and report equipment/conditions that do not comply with applicable standards.

  • Analyze data and photographs collected during field and desktop inspections.

  • Prepare reports and presentations related to field and desktop findings.

  • Audit completed inspections to verify compliance with standards.

  • This position may be based out of the Denver office or based in a remote location with extensive travel to client sites.

 

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of electric transmission, substation, and distribution facilities

  • Strong commitment to workplace safety

  • Competence proving quality assurance/quality control for all work projects submitted to stakeholders

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Interpersonal skills that include a teamwork attitude with a focus on meeting stakeholder need while striving for an enjoyable work environment for all FEP staff 

 

Education/Experience

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a focus on power;

  • 1-3 Years’ experience in the utility sector

  • MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

 

Compensation Range

The estimated compensation range for this position is $65,000 to $90,000 year for a full-time, exempt position.  FEP takes into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the employee’s work location.
