Job Description

Provide electrical transmission or distribution engineering/operations expertise to a team reviewing, inspecting, and verifying maintenance and construction of electrical delivery assets.  The position will primarily include reviewing work completed by others and provide professional expertise to staff and clients confirming compliance with established programs. The Consultant will also be expected to suggest design changes or new program alternatives.

 

Terms of Employment

  • This position is offered for full time or part time employment. FEP will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.

 

Qualifications

  • Education: Minimum Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field. In lieu of a degree, consideration will be given to relevant experience as described below:

  • Preferred: 5-10 years of experience in maintenance, operations, construction, or design of distribution, transmission, or substations.

  • PE License preferred

  • Possess detailed practical and technical understanding of all components related to distribution or transmission assets.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; PowerPoint; and Word. 

  • Strong writing and presentation skills required.

  • Must be professional and ability to work in a professional environment is required. 

  • Possess sufficient motivation to accomplish required objectives with limited supervision. 

  • Team oriented.

  • Willing to travel approximately 50%-75%

  • Significant field work will be required including asset inspections.

  • Preferable permanent address in the Denver, Colorado area but remote work will be considered with ability to easily travel to western states.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to legally a rent a vehicle.

 

Compensation Range

The estimated compensation range for this position is $110,000 to $180,000 year for a full-time, exempt position.  FEP takes into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the employee’s work location.
