Duties and Responsibilities:
FEP is searching for an individual with proven experience in energy risk advisory. The person will work with an integrated consulting team on client engagements to document and assess market risk, create policies and procedures, and review trading compliance. This individual will have a strong background in commercial and risk management advisory services to energy companies and an advanced knowledge of US power markets and the regulatory environment:

Evaluate client’s risk management strategy and models and make recommendations based on industry best practices.

Recommend risk management policies and procedures that enable risks to be identified, tracked, and managed.

Develop tools and analytics to evaluate risk.

Write reports on findings from risk assessments.

Develop presentations and present to senior level audiences including client presentations and industry conferences.

Review client’s regulatory compliance and identify areas for improvement.

Testify as an expert witness for litigation clients.
This role may require travel in accordance with client and FEP needs.
Skills and Attributes:

Experience in risk management organization, particularly within utilities.

Experience in energy trading and portfolio management

Strong written and verbal communication skills is required

Interpersonal skills that include a teamwork attitude with a focus on meeting the client needs while striving for an enjoyable work environment for all FEP staff
Education/Experience:

At least a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, data analytics, engineering or other applicable area; Master’s degree or MBA a plus.

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in risk management.

Advanced knowledge of US Power Markets.

Experience with wildfire risk mitigation.
Compensation Range:
$175,000 to $300,000 year for full time employee dependent on experience and education.
