Michael E. Green has over 30 years of experience as an appraiser and valuation consultant focused on the energy and utility industries. Mr. Green has appraised a wide variety of properties including natural gas pipelines, natural gas distribution systems, electric utility systems, electric generating plants, short-line and regional railroads, private railcars, water and sewer systems, and telecommunications systems. He has developed specialized expertise in the valuation and appraisal of electric power generation assets and is one of very few qualified appraisers in the field today. Mr. Green has prepared appraisal opinions for approximately 95 gigawatts (ownership interests) of generating capacity over the past 16 years. His appraisals have been used in connection with approximately $8 billion in financings as well as for release of assets from liens, fairness opinions, purchase price allocation, fair value rate base, ad valorem tax litigation, condemnation proceedings and fraud litigation. He is also a licensed general real property appraiser with experience in the appraisal of commercial and industrial real estate.
